Northern Indiana here with nothing but rooty and flowy around. Thanks everyone for your advice and help! I was intimidated at the 29+ tires at first, but I ended liking the bigger tires even more than the 27+ tires! Also, the bike store had an insane deal on it, so I pulled the trigger and I am super happy with my purchase.

Update: So, I actually ended up getting a Trek Stache 7 lol. So, I hear all the time to buy the bike that fits you / feels better, but I am useless here.ĭoes anyone have experience with these bikes and can offer a recommendation between them? I get that the Fuse has a better fork, but for $100 more, does the Roscoe 8 highly surpass the Fuse? Or should I save some cash and go for the Roscoe 7 because I most likely won't notice a difference between these bikes anyway?įYI I'm riding in the Midwest with mostly rooty, rocky, flowy trails.

I've taken both on test rides (but not on trails, they didn't have any to demo) and they are both fine? Unfortunately, I feel too inexperienced to tell what feels better because I don't have any great personal reference points (I'm riding a super old Trek right now). I also looked at the Roscoe 8, but it was about $1700. The best price I've found for the Roscoe 7 is about $1200 and the best price for the Fuse Expert is $1600. I'm looking to get a 27.5+ bike, and the most available around me are the Trek Roscoe 7 and Specialized Fuse expert (both 2019 models).
